EAA Fenestra, Malte Kob
Webdevelopment under Zope and Plone using Python, Perl, LDAP, MySQL
I have worked for 2 years with Malte Kob, the EAA Fenestra Product Manager back in that time. I mainly implemented Products under Plone and maintained the Linux server. Within this creative time I learned a lot about project management, server/client architectures, content management systems and the awsome scripting language Python. I also came in touch with LDAP, an outstanding directory access protocol. I struggled through the rough world of setting up a complete new server with all its services including a mail server.
The main cause why I quit was, that Malte's career took a great step forward when he was offered a professorship at the Musikhochschule Detmold and decided to search for a successor for the Fenestra Product Manager. For me, that was the point to do the same. I wanted to do something more interesting then administrating servers and developing software for web applications. I took a look around for some other interesting jobs - and for sure there are a lot.
